Overview
Weinaian Capsule (Weinai An Jiaonang) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formulation developed and marketed by Guangzhou Baiyun Mountain Zhongyi Pharmaceutical. It is composed of five key ingredients: Radix Astragali (Huangqi), Radix Notoginseng (Sanqi), Radix Ginseng Rubra (red ginseng), pearl layer powder (Margarita), and artificial Calculus Bovis (artificial bezoar). Indicated for the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers, chronic gastritis, and gastrointestinal mucosal injury, the drug functions by promoting Qi and blood flow, exerting anti-inflammatory effects, and stimulating tissue regeneration. Research indicates its mechanism involves the modulation of the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway and the regulation of the gut microbiome to protect the gastric and intestinal mucosa. It is recognized as a National Protected TCM Variety in China and is included in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia.
