Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Weiweiqing (also referred to as Weiweiqin) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) granule formulation developed by The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. It is specifically indicated for the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG), a condition characterized by the thinning of the gastric mucosa and the loss of glandular cells, which is considered a precancerous state. The formulation is designed to alleviate clinical symptoms, reduce mucosal inflammation, and potentially reverse pathological changes such as intestinal metaplasia and dysplasia. As a multi-herb TCM product, its therapeutic effect is attributed to synergistic interactions that protect the gastric lining and modulate the local immune and inflammatory environment.
