Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Weiyan No. 1 Granules is a compound pharmaceutical preparation indicated for the treatment of chronic superficial gastritis and gastric ulcers. It combines the antibacterial action of Gentamicin Sulfate, the local anesthetic effect of Procaine Hydrochloride, and the mucosal repair properties of Vitamin B12. Gentamicin Sulfate inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, including that of Helicobacter pylori, while Procaine Hydrochloride provides pain relief by blocking sodium ion channels in nerve fibers. Vitamin B12 supports the formation of normal epithelial cells, aiding in gastric mucosal healing. The drug is administered orally and works to alleviate symptoms, combat bacterial infections, and promote the repair of damaged gastric lining.
