Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Weiyan Tongluo Granules (WYTLG) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed for the management of gastric intestinal metaplasia (GIM), a precancerous condition characterized by the replacement of gastric mucosa with intestinal-like epithelium. The formulation consists of a complex mixture of 29 identified active components that collectively exert therapeutic effects by modulating the PPARγ/NF-κB/CDX2 signaling axis. Specifically, WYTLG acts as a modulator of this pathway, leading to the attenuation of inflammatory responses, enhancement of resistance to apoptosis in gastric glands, and restoration of gastric mucosal function. Preclinical studies have demonstrated its potential in preventing gastric malignant transformation by regulating GIM-related biomarkers and improving gastric injury.
