Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Wenshen Yangxin Granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) preparation developed for the treatment of sepsis-induced cardiomyopathy (SIC). It is currently being evaluated in clinical trials sponsored by the Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The formula is based on the TCM therapeutic principle of warming the kidney and nourishing the heart to address Yang deficiency, which is hypothesized to be a core pathogenesis in septic patients with cardiac dysfunction. The granules aim to improve hemodynamic stability and reduce myocardial damage in patients with systemic infection.
