Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Wenxin Granule (温心颗粒) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulation developed as a hospital preparation by Guang'anmen Hospital of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. It is specifically indicated for the treatment of unstable angina pectoris in patients presenting with the 'Yang deficiency and blood stasis' syndrome. The formulation is designed to warm the heart Yang, supplement Qi, and activate blood circulation to resolve stasis. In clinical practice, it is typically administered as an adjunctive therapy alongside standard Western medical treatments, such as antiplatelet agents and statins, to reduce the frequency and severity of angina episodes, alleviate chest pain, and improve myocardial ischemia. It is distinct from the commercially available Buchang Wenxin Keli (稳心颗粒), which is primarily used for arrhythmias.
