Overview
Wenyang Jieyu formula granule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) preparation developed by the Third Affiliated Hospital of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is formulated based on the "Wenyang Jieyu" (warming yang and relieving depression) therapeutic principle, which is intended to address the TCM pathogenesis of depression in patients with Parkinson's disease. The formula typically consists of a combination of several herbal extracts, such as *Radix Aconiti Lateralis Praeparata* and *Herba Epimedii*, which are processed into a granule form for oral administration. It has been evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials in China to assess its efficacy and safety in treating depressed Parkinson's disease (DPD) compared to standard pharmacological treatments like venlafaxine.
