Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Wenyang Zhenshuai Keli is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal granule formulation developed by the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is specifically indicated for the treatment of chronic heart failure (CHF) characterized by the "Yang deficiency and water flooding" syndrome (阳虚水泛证) in TCM theory. The formulation is designed to warm the heart and kidney Yang, promote diuresis, and alleviate symptoms of fluid retention and cardiac insufficiency. In clinical trial settings, it has been evaluated as an adjunctive therapy alongside standard Western medical treatments, including diuretics (hydrochlorothiazide), ACE inhibitors (enalaprilat), beta-blockers (metoprolol), and nitrates (isosorbide mononitrate), to assess its impact on cardiac function and safety.
