Overview
Wenyanghuazhuo formula is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal decoction developed by the First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is specifically designed to treat chronic endometritis (CE) in patients experiencing recurrent implantation failure (RIF) during assisted reproductive technology (ART) cycles. The formula is based on the TCM principle of warming yang and transforming turbidity to improve the intrauterine environment. Mechanistically, it is thought to enhance endometrial receptivity by modulating the local immune response, reducing the infiltration of CD138+ plasma cells, and downregulating pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α and IL-6. By alleviating chronic inflammation and improving uterine blood flow, the formula aims to increase the success rates of embryo implantation and clinical pregnancy.
