Drug intelligence / Profile preview
WF-1042 is an investigational oral monoclonal antibody targeting Trophoblast cell-surface antigen 2 (TROP2), developed by Staidson Hongkong. TROP2 is a transmembrane glycoprotein that is highly expressed in various epithelial cancers, including breast, lung, and pancreatic tumors, where it promotes cell proliferation, survival, and metastasis. While monoclonal antibodies are typically administered parenterally due to their large molecular size and susceptibility to gastrointestinal degradation, WF-1042 is uniquely formulated as an oral capsule. This delivery method is intended to provide a more convenient administration route for patients. WF-1042 is currently in development for the treatment of solid tumors, aiming to inhibit tumor growth by binding to TROP2-expressing cells and potentially interfering with oncogenic signaling pathways or inducing immune-mediated cytotoxicity.
