Drug intelligence / Profile preview
WG109 is an investigational cell therapy consisting of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hUC-MSCs), developed by Wingor Biotechnology. It is primarily designed to treat ischemic stroke, specifically subacute ischemic stroke, and is also being evaluated for acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Mesenchymal stem cells exert therapeutic effects through immunomodulation, anti-inflammatory activity, and the secretion of trophic factors that promote neurogenesis, angiogenesis, and tissue repair. WG109 is currently in Phase II clinical development in China for subacute ischemic stroke.
