Overview

WGb-0301 is an experimental mRNA-based immunotherapy developed by Sichuan University for the treatment of relapsed and refractory B-cell malignancies, including B-cell lymphoma and lymphocytic leukemia. The therapeutic consists of messenger RNA (mRNA) encoding a specific protein targeting the CD19 antigen, encapsulated within lipid nanoparticles (LNPs). Upon administration via injection, the mRNA is delivered to cells to express the target protein, which then mediates the clearance of CD19-positive B-cells. WGb-0301 is designed to provide an innovative and accessible alternative to traditional cell therapies, demonstrating efficient B-cell clearance and a favorable safety profile in non-clinical studies. It is currently undergoing exploratory clinical evaluation in patients with B-cell malignant tumors.
