Overview

WGc-043 is a therapeutic mRNA cancer vaccine developed by WestGene Biopharma. It targets Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-associated malignancies, including both solid tumors and hematologic cancers such as extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma (ENKTL) and nasopharyngeal carcinoma. The vaccine utilizes AI-assisted antigen screening to identify optimal EBV-related targets and is delivered via a proprietary lipid nanoparticle (LNP) system. WGc-043 is designed to induce a potent anti-tumor immune response by presenting EBV-specific antigens to the immune system. It has received Investigational New Drug (IND) approvals from both the U.S. FDA and China's NMPA, marking a significant milestone as a dual-approved mRNA vaccine for EBV-related cancers.
