Overview

WGI-0047 (also known as MyHIF) is an antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) therapeutic being developed by The WhiteOak Group for the treatment of small cell lung carcinoma (SCLC). The drug is designed to inhibit the expression of hypoxia-inducible factor 1-alpha (HIF-1-alpha), a transcription factor that plays a critical role in tumor adaptation to hypoxic environments, promoting angiogenesis, metabolic reprogramming, and cell survival. WGI-0047 utilizes a proprietary lipid nanoparticle delivery system known as QTsome to facilitate the systemic delivery and cellular uptake of the antisense sequence. It is currently in the IND-enabling/preclinical stage of development.
