Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Wharton Gel Complex is a patented cosmeceutical biomaterial developed by Histocell in collaboration with Industrial Farmacéutica Cantabria (Cantabria Labs). It is a purified complex designed to mimic the extracellular matrix (ECM) of the dermis, composed of a natural blend of high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid and various sulfated glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), including chondroitin sulfate, dermatan sulfate, keratan sulfate, and heparan sulfate. The complex is enriched with growth factors that promote the proliferation of fibroblasts and stimulate the endogenous synthesis of essential structural proteins such as collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. Primarily used as a topical anti-aging ingredient in skincare products under the Endocare brand line, Wharton Gel Complex aims to restore dermal density, improve skin firmness, and provide a lifting effect by regenerating the skin's structural framework.
