Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Winterpan is a topical pain-relieving gel formulated to provide fast and deep-penetrating relief from localized muscular and joint pain, stiff neck, sprains, strains, and arthritic discomfort. Developed by Lina Manufacturing, the gel contains a combination of active counterirritants and analgesics, including methyl salicylate, menthol, capsaicin (capsicum), thymol, and eucalyptus oil. Upon application, Winterpan produces a dual cooling and warming sensation that stimulates thermal receptors in the skin, dilates local capillaries to increase blood flow, and inhibits cyclooxygenase enzymes to reduce inflammation and pain. It is formulated in a non-greasy, animal-fat-free base that is easily absorbed through the skin.
