Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Winuf is a comprehensive three-chamber total parenteral nutrition (TPN) formulation developed by JW Life Science. It consists of separate chambers containing glucose, amino acids, and a lipid emulsion that are mixed immediately prior to intravenous administration. A distinguishing feature of Winuf is its high concentration of fish oil, which is rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids designed to support patient immunity and recovery. The product is indicated for fluid and electrolyte replacement and parenteral nutrition support in patients who are unable to receive adequate oral or enteral nutrition for extended periods. It is marketed as Finomel in European markets through a partnership with Baxter and has received approvals in South Korea, China, and several European countries.
