Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Winuf A+ is a protein-enriched peripheral parenteral nutrition (PPN) formulation developed by JW Pharmaceutical. It is designed as a three-chamber bag (3CB) system containing a combination of amino acids, glucose, and a lipid emulsion, along with electrolytes. Specifically formulated to provide a higher concentration of amino acids with a reduced glucose load compared to standard parenteral nutrition, Winuf A+ aims to improve nitrogen balance and facilitate early postoperative recovery in patients undergoing major surgery, such as gastrectomy for gastric cancer. By providing essential nutrients intravenously, it supports patients who are unable to maintain adequate oral or enteral intake during the perioperative period.
