Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Winuf Peri is a three-chamber bag (3CB) parenteral nutrition solution developed by JW Pharmaceutical, specifically formulated for peripheral intravenous administration. It is designed for patients who require nutritional support when oral or enteral intake is impossible, insufficient, or contraindicated. The product consists of three separate compartments containing glucose, amino acids with electrolytes, and a unique four-component lipid emulsion (SMOF) comprising soybean oil, medium-chain triglycerides (MCT), olive oil, and fish oil. The inclusion of fish oil provides essential omega-3 fatty acids, specifically eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which are intended to modulate inflammatory responses and improve clinical outcomes compared to traditional soybean-oil-based emulsions. Winuf Peri is characterized by a lower osmolarity than central parenteral nutrition formulations, allowing for safe administration through peripheral veins.
