WM-S1-001

WM-S1-001 is a small molecule inhibitor developed by Wellmarker Bio Co., Ltd. (WMBIO) and co-developed by Biogenetics for Erbitux® (cetuximab)-resistant colon cancer. It targets mutant receptor tyrosine kinases (mtRTK), which are implicated in primary resistance to EGFR inhibitors in KRAS wild-type colorectal cancer patients, with expression observed in 36.2% of Caucasian and 56.9% of Korean patient samples. Preclinical data demonstrate potent anticancer activity in patient-derived cells (PDC) and xenografts (PDX) expressing mtRTK, tolerability in rats and dogs, and efficacy across solid tumors including NSCLC and cholangiocarcinoma, with synergistic antitumor immunity when combined with anti-PD-1/PD-L1 therapies in resistant models[3][7][15].
