WM202 (also known as GR2102) is a bispecific T-cell engager (BiTE) developed by Chongqing Zhixiang Jintai Biopharmaceutical (Genrix Bio). The antibody is designed to simultaneously target the CD3 receptor on T lymphocytes and the Melanoma-associated antigen A4 (MAGE-A4) expressed on the surface of tumor cells, typically presented as a peptide-HLA complex. MAGE-A4 is a cancer-testis antigen that is highly expressed in various malignancies, including melanoma, non-small cell lung cancer, and synovial sarcoma, while remaining largely absent in normal tissues. By bridging T cells and tumor cells, WM202 facilitates the formation of an immunological synapse, leading to T-cell activation and directed cytotoxic lysis of MAGE-A4-positive cancer cells. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development for the treatment of MAGE-A4-positive melanoma and other advanced solid tumors.
