Overview

WNQ205 is a small molecule agonist of Toll-like receptor 8 (TLR8) being developed by Staidson (Beijing) Biopharmaceutical for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. As an innate immune stimulator, WNQ205 is designed to activate myeloid cells, such as monocytes and myeloid dendritic cells, to produce pro-inflammatory cytokines including IL-12 and TNF-alpha. This activation is intended to promote a Th1-type immune response and enhance the body's ability to clear HBV-infected hepatocytes. WNQ205 is currently in the preclinical stage of development and is part of Staidson's broader pipeline of anti-infective and immunotherapeutic candidates.
