Overview

WNTinib is a small molecule inhibitor developed by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in collaboration with Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS). It specifically targets CTNNB1 (beta-catenin), a key component of the Wnt/beta-catenin signaling pathway, which is frequently mutated or dysregulated in various cancers. The drug is currently in the IND-enabling preclinical phase, with a primary focus on the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). By inhibiting CTNNB1-related signaling, WNTinib aims to suppress tumor growth and progression driven by aberrant Wnt pathway activation.
