Overview

WPC01 is a small molecule inhibitor targeting the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway, currently in the drug optimization stage of development by Westlake Pharmaceuticals. The MAPK pathway is a central regulator of cellular processes including growth, proliferation, and survival; its aberrant activation is a hallmark of many human cancers. By inhibiting components of this pathway, WPC01 aims to suppress tumor progression. It is part of a series of MAPK-targeted assets (WPC01-WPC05) being explored by the sponsor for oncological indications.
