Overview

WPMDE2 (Whey Protein Milk-Derived Exosomes 2) is an orally administered nutritional supplement composed of bovine milk-derived extracellular vesicles (exosomes). Developed by Exosomm Ltd., it is being investigated as a naturally derived adjunct therapy for the treatment of mild to severe ulcerative colitis (UC). The supplement leverages the bioactive properties of milk-derived exosomes to potentially modulate inflammatory pathways, improve clinical disease activity, and support mucosal healing. It is currently undergoing evaluation in Phase 1 clinical trials to establish its safety, tolerability, and efficacy in reducing inflammatory markers such as fecal calprotectin in UC patients.
