WSD4000 is a topical gel treatment being developed by Futura Medical for the management of symptoms associated with female sexual dysfunction (FSD), including impaired arousal, reduced vaginal lubrication, and decreased sexual desire. The product utilizes a rapid-acting, non-hormonal formulation designed to improve genital sensation and sexual satisfaction. While the specific active ingredients and molecular targets have not been publicly disclosed, the gel is intended for over-the-counter (OTC) use. A sensory study involving 67 women demonstrated positive results in enhancing lubrication and sensation. Futura Medical has engaged in pre-submission discussions with the US FDA to define the regulatory pathway and indications for use, with an Early Feasibility Study planned for the first half of 2026.
