Overview

WSK-V106 is a recombinant protein COVID-19 vaccine, specifically a trivalent (XBB+BA.5+Delta) genetically engineered subunit vaccine developed for use as a booster in adults who have previously received two or three doses of other COVID-19 vaccines. It is produced using Sf9 insect cells and targets the SARS-CoV-2 spike (S) protein to stimulate an immune response, acting both as an inhibitor of viral entry and as an immunostimulant to promote protective immunity against multiple SARS-CoV-2 variants. The vaccine is being developed by Chengdu Weisk Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd., in collaboration with West China Hospital, and has reached Phase 3 clinical trials for booster vaccination in adults[2][3].
