WT-1 122 long (also known as Marlumotide) is a synthetic peptide derived from the Wilms tumor gene 1 (WT1) protein. It is designed as an immunogenic epitope for use in cancer vaccines targeting WT1-expressing malignancies. The peptide sequence (SGQAYMFPNAPYLPSCLES) corresponds to amino acids 122–140 of the WT1 protein and includes modifications to enhance immune recognition and binding to HLA molecules[1][2]. As part of multivalent vaccine formulations such as galinpepimut-S, it aims to stimulate both CD4+ and CD8+ T-cell responses against tumor cells expressing WT1. The primary indications under investigation are acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and ovarian cancer[4][10]. The peptide has been manufactured under GMP conditions using solid-phase synthesis[2].
