Drug intelligence / Profile preview
WT1 cancer vaccine is an experimental immunotherapy being developed by Shining Biotech for the treatment of solid tumors. The vaccine targets the Wilms' Tumor 1 (WT1) antigen, a zinc-finger transcription factor that is highly expressed in a variety of cancers but has limited expression in normal adult tissues. By presenting WT1-derived antigens, the vaccine is intended to stimulate a cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (CTL) response specifically against tumor cells that overexpress WT1. As of 2024, the program is in the preclinical stage of development.
