WT1 peptide-pulsed dendritic cells (WT1-DC) is an autologous dendritic cell-based cancer vaccine and immunotherapy modality. The therapy consists of mature dendritic cells derived from a patient's own peripheral blood, which are subsequently pulsed with Wilms' tumor 1 (WT1) peptides. These peptides typically include both MHC class I-restricted (killer) and MHC class II-restricted (helper) peptides to elicit a comprehensive T-cell response. The vaccine is designed to stimulate the patient's immune system to recognize and eliminate cells expressing the WT1 protein, a tumor-associated antigen that is overexpressed in various malignancies. It has been primarily investigated in Japan for the treatment of advanced pancreatic cancer, esophageal cancer, and hematological malignancies, often in combination with standard chemotherapy regimens.
