This autologous dendritic cell vaccine is developed by Wincell Research in collaboration with Osaka University. The therapy involves isolating a patient's monocytes, which are then matured into dendritic cells and pulsed with Wilms' Tumor 1 (WT1) antigens. Once re-administered to the patient, these primed dendritic cells present WT1 epitopes to T cells, inducing a potent cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (CTL) response against WT1-expressing malignant cells and cancer stem cells. It is primarily indicated for the prevention of cancer recurrence and the treatment of various WT1-positive solid tumors and hematological malignancies. The vaccine has received approval from the Thai FDA.
