Overview

WT1-Sensitized Allogeneic T-Lymphocytes are donor-derived (allogeneic) T cells that have been sensitized in vitro to recognize the Wilms’ tumor protein 1 (WT1), a protein overexpressed in various hematologic malignancies and some solid tumors. These cells are expanded and infused into patients following allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation or as adoptive immunotherapy for residual or relapsed leukemia. Upon administration, these sensitized cytotoxic lymphocytes specifically target and lyse tumor cells expressing the WT1 antigen, aiming to induce an anti-tumor immune response while minimizing graft-versus-host disease. The therapy is being developed primarily for neoplasms such as acute myeloid leukemia (AML), acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), and other cancers with high WT1 expression[2][3][8][9].
