Wubie Huangui is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) compound developed by Jiangsu Kanion Pharmaceutical for the treatment of premature ovarian insufficiency (POI). Formulated as a capsule, it is designed to tonify the kidney and nourish the blood, addressing the underlying pathology of POI according to TCM principles. The drug aims to restore ovarian function, regulate the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian (HPO) axis, and improve serum levels of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), and anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH). Clinical research indicates that Wubie Huangui may also inhibit the apoptosis of ovarian granulosa cells, thereby preserving the ovarian follicle pool and improving fertility outcomes in affected women.
