Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Wundecyte** is an investigational topical perfluorocarbon oxygen-carrier gel developed by Oxygen Biotherapeutics, now Tenax Therapeutics, for local wound oxygenation. The gel was made from the company's Oxycyte perfluorocarbon platform and was intended to supply oxygen to injured tissue from the outside in, either alone or alongside a separate self-oxygenating bandage. Preclinical work evaluated full-thickness excisional wounds and partial-thickness burns, including wound closure, scar reduction, and infection-control outcomes.
