Drug intelligence / Profile preview
WXF-107 is a newly developed small molecule dual inhibitor of the receptor tyrosine kinases MET (hepatocyte growth factor receptor) and AXL. MET and AXL are frequently overexpressed in various solid malignancies, including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), where they drive tumor cell proliferation, survival, metastasis, and remodeling of the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. By dual inhibition of MET and AXL, WXF-107 suppresses tumor cell viability, induces cell-cycle arrest, and attenuates downstream oncogenic signaling. Additionally, WXF-107 modulates the tumor microenvironment by reducing tumor angiogenesis and decreasing the infiltration of immunosuppressive M2-polarized tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs). WXF-107 is currently in preclinical development for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma.
