X0N5 is a preclinical-stage glyco-humanized polyclonal antibody (GH-pAb) being developed by Xenothera for the treatment of solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. The drug is produced using Xenothera's proprietary platform, which utilizes genetically engineered animals (typically swine) that lack key immunogenic sugar molecules, such as N-glycolylneuraminic acid (Neu5Gc) and alpha-1,3-galactose (alpha-Gal). This "glyco-humanization" process is intended to allow the administration of animal-derived polyclonal antibodies to humans without the high risk of serum sickness or neutralizing antibody responses. As a polyclonal therapy, X0N5 contains a diverse pool of antibodies that can target multiple epitopes or antigens simultaneously, potentially providing a broader and more effective anti-tumor response than monoclonal antibodies in complex cancer environments.
