The **XAGE1B synthetic long peptide vaccine** is an investigational therapeutic cancer vaccine developed by the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) in the Netherlands. It consists of five overlapping synthetic long peptides (SLPs) derived from the XAGE1B cancer-testis antigen, which is highly and specifically expressed in lung adenocarcinoma. The vaccine is formulated by emulsifying these peptides in Montanide ISA 51 (an oil-based adjuvant) and co-mixing them with Hiltonol (poly-ICLC), a Toll-like receptor 3 (TLR3) agonist adjuvant, to enhance T-cell immune responses. It is being evaluated in a Phase I clinical trial (NL-OMON45223) in the Netherlands to assess its safety and immunogenicity in adults with pulmonary adenocarcinoma (lung adenocarcinoma, a subtype of non-small cell lung cancer) who have completed standard therapy.
