Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xantopix AD is a topical dermocosmetic product developed by Synchroline (a brand of General Topics s.r.l.) specifically for the management of skin prone to atopic dermatitis. The formulation is designed to address the inflammatory and barrier-deficiency components of eczema. Its primary active ingredient is xanthohumol, a prenylated flavonoid derived from hops (*Humulus lupulus*), which possesses potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Xantopix AD aims to reduce erythema, pruritus (itching), and skin irritation by modulating inflammatory mediators and supporting the restoration of the skin's protective lipid barrier. It is typically used as an adjuvant to medical treatments or as a maintenance therapy to prolong periods of remission in patients with atopic dermatitis.
