Drug intelligence / Profile preview
XAU2 is a glyco-humanized polyclonal antibody (GH-pAb) candidate developed by Xenothera. It is produced using a proprietary platform that generates polyclonal antibodies in animals, such as pigs, which have been genetically modified to lack the immunogenic sugar N-glycolylneuraminic acid (Neu5Gc). This 'glyco-humanization' process is designed to reduce the risk of adverse immune reactions, including serum sickness, in human recipients. While the specific therapeutic target and indication for XAU2 have not been publicly disclosed, the GH-pAb platform is intended to provide a broad, multi-epitope immune response. Pipeline records indicate the program was in the Preclinical/Phase 1 stage around 2015-2016.
