Overview

**xB3-007** is a preclinical blood-brain-barrier-penetrant enzyme-replacement candidate developed by Bioasis for Gaucher disease. It consists of Bioasis's proprietary xB3 peptide transport sequence conjugated to imiglucerase, the recombinant lysosomal glucocerebrosidase enzyme marketed as Cerezyme. The xB3 moiety is intended to promote receptor-mediated transport across the blood-brain barrier, potentially enabling enzyme delivery to the central nervous system while imiglucerase hydrolyzes accumulated glucosylceramide. The program was initially described for Gaucher disease including Type 1 Gaucher disease, with subsequent public materials also describing potential applications in neuropathic Gaucher disease and GBA-associated neurodegenerative disorders.
