Overview
XBI-302 is an orally administered fecal microbiota transplant (FMT) capsule developed by Xbiome. It is designed to restore gut microbial diversity and treat conditions associated with dysbiosis. The drug is currently being evaluated for the treatment of glucocorticoid-refractory acute graft-versus-host disease (aGVHD) following allogeneic stem cell transplantation, as well as in healthy volunteers to assess safety and tolerability. By delivering a standardized consortium of healthy donor-derived microbes, XBI-302 aims to modulate the host immune response and improve clinical outcomes in patients with severe gastrointestinal complications.
