Overview

XC101-D13H is an oral therapy being developed by Xoc Pharmaceuticals for the prevention of migraine. It has a novel mechanism of action targeting multiple serotonin receptors. The drug acts as an antagonist at 5-HT2B, 5-HT2C, and 5-HT2A receptors, while functioning as a partial agonist at 5-HT1B, 5-HT1D, and 5-HT1F receptors, and as an agonist at 5-HT7 receptors. This receptor profile was designed to provide therapeutic benefit for migraine prevention while avoiding common serotonergic agonist-driven side effects.
