Drug intelligence / Profile preview
XCCS605B is an investigational antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) targeting Claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2), a protein frequently overexpressed in various solid tumors, particularly gastric, gastroesophageal junction, and pancreatic cancers. Developed by Shanghai Huayu Biotech, XCCS605B is composed of a monoclonal antibody specific to CLDN18.2 linked to a potent cytotoxic payload. The mechanism of action involves the selective binding of the antibody component to CLDN18.2 on the surface of tumor cells, followed by internalization of the ADC and subsequent release of the payload, which induces cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. XCCS605B is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation to determine its safety, tolerability, and preliminary anti-tumor activity in patients with advanced solid tumors.
