Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xcell Amnio Matrix (XAM) is a next-generation lyophilized human amniotic membrane allograft developed by New Horizon Medical Solutions for the management of acute and chronic wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs). The product is aseptically processed to preserve the native extracellular matrix (ECM) and a rich array of endogenous growth factors, which together provide a protective biological barrier and a structural scaffold to support cellular migration and tissue regeneration. XAM is designed for handling simplicity and is currently being evaluated in randomized controlled clinical trials as an adjunct to standard of care therapy to improve complete wound closure rates in patients with chronic ulcers.
