Xcellerated T Cells are an autologous cell therapy product consisting of a patient’s own peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) that have been activated and expanded ex vivo using the proprietary Xcellerate Process. This process involves stimulating PBMCs with anti-CD3 and anti-CD28 antibody-coated magnetic beads (Xcyte Dynabeads), resulting in robust activation and proliferation of CD3+ T lymphocytes. The final product is highly enriched for functional, biologically active CD3+ T cells with restored or broadened immune receptor diversity. The therapy is designed to accelerate immune reconstitution following high-dose chemotherapy and autologous stem cell transplantation, particularly in patients with hematologic malignancies such as multiple myeloma or chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Preclinical and clinical studies suggest that infusion of these expanded autologous T cells can lead to rapid recovery of lymphocyte counts, restoration of a normal or diverse T cell receptor repertoire, enhanced immune function, reduction in infectious complications, and potential anti-tumor effects[1][2][6].
