Overview

Xenogeneic platelet-rich plasma lotion is a newly developed topical biologic therapy designed to prevent acute radiation dermatitis (ARD) in breast cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy. It has demonstrated prophylactic effects against ARD, leading to a significant reduction and delay in the progression of ARD, lower pain scores, and improved quality of life compared to XONRID® gel. The lotion utilizes xenogeneic platelet-rich plasma, which contains a concentrated mixture of growth factors and cytokines, to promote tissue regeneration, wound healing, and reduce inflammation.
