XH-S002

XH-S002 is an oral small molecule inhibitor targeting Factor XIa, developed for the treatment and prevention of thrombus-related diseases such as ischemic stroke and transient ischemic attack. The drug works by inhibiting the formation of blood clots through selective inhibition of the coagulation pathway. Preclinical studies have demonstrated high target selectivity and good tolerability in toxicological assessments. As of early 2025, XH-S002 is in Phase 1 clinical trials to evaluate its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), and pharmacodynamics (PD) in healthy adult volunteers[1][2][3][4][5]. The developer reports that no other small molecule inhibitors with this specific molecular mechanism have been approved globally.
