XH-S004

XH-S004 is a small molecule oral inhibitor of dipeptidyl peptidase 1 (DPP-1), independently developed by Zhejiang Xinghao Pengbo Pharmaceutical, a subsidiary of Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical. The drug is intended for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis, among other potential indications. Its mechanism involves inhibiting DPP-1, which in turn suppresses the activation of neutrophils; this reduces excessive inflammatory responses in the airways associated with these diseases. As of early 2025, XH-S004 has received approval to begin clinical trials in China and is currently in phase I development for non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis[1][2][4][5][6][7].
