Xiang Hu Dang Xiong Xing Diao Capsule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) botanical formulation developed by Wuhan Hengxinyuan Pharmaceutical for the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea. The drug is designed to address the TCM pattern of qi and blood disharmony and blood stasis, which is associated with painful menstruation. The formulation's name suggests it contains key herbal ingredients such as Cyperus rotundus (Xiang Fu), Corydalis yanhusuo (Yan Hu Suo), Angelica sinensis (Dang Gui), and Ligusticum chuanxiong (Chuan Xiong), which are traditionally used in Chinese medicine to regulate qi and promote blood flow. It is currently undergoing Phase II clinical evaluation in China to assess its efficacy and safety in women with primary dysmenorrhea.
