Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xiangfu Wan is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) product manufactured by Liaoning Jindan Pharmaceutical and approved for use in China. The preparation is primarily composed of vinegar-processed *Cyperus rotundus* (Nutgrass Galingale Rhizome). Within the framework of TCM, it is utilized to soothe the liver, regulate Qi, and harmonize menstruation. It is clinically indicated for conditions arising from liver Qi stagnation, including chest and hypochondriac distension, epigastric pain, irregular menstruation, amenorrhea, and dysmenorrhea. The pharmacological activity is largely attributed to the essential oils (such as cyperene and cyperol) and sesquiterpenes present in the rhizome, which provide antispasmodic, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory effects.
